Another year round trip to the Sun. Happy birthday to me 🎂
I don’t have any major plans on my day, except to have a quiet dinner, watch my favourite movies and catch up on my sleep.
Birthdays tend to be a weird moment for me to sit back and reflect. It’s crazy to think that within the one year, I’ve managed to do the following:
- Start up a webcomic blog.
- Create my first visual novel game.
- Get hired by a job that I love doing during my daytime hours.
- Seeing improvements on my artwork after putting it off for quite some time.
On a personal note, it was a time where I’ve been more mindful of my social media usage. As someone who has been struggling with depression, taking a step back from the online world has made me more aware of what’s going on.
I’m thankful to have my family and close friends during this time. Getting older feels a bit daunting. But I’m embracing the new year with hope and a chance to become a better person (whether personal or professionally).
Thank you to those who took the time to wish me well during my birthday. Truly means a lot to me (and Betsy) 🐮
Not every panic attack is the same. The one thing that stays consistent is reaching out for help and support. I can still recall about the first time I’ve had a panic attack. These days, I’ve been managing them quite well.
It’s a scary feeling and unfortunately, it’s something that I’ve been living with for quite some time. I hope my post provides comfort to those who are suffering from them. If you ever need to talk or have someone listen, I’m here for you.
Happy New Year, lovelies! I’m back from my vacation. Hope you had a good time over the holidays. I’m a bit rusty on the drawings at the moment but hopefully I’ll be able to get better in terms of the shading and colouring.
2018 has been a tremendous year in learning crucial lessons on relationships, self awareness, understanding boundaries and self care. One of the hardest lessons I’ve learned is understanding that you can outgrow relationships. One day, you can have a network of people in a similar field. Next day, you can switch tracks and people eventually falling off the earth. Relationships go by in seasons. It’s why I do my best in remembering the good moments, even when things went sour. Nothing is perfect.
Having a smaller circle helps me focus in who’s important in my life. I no longer have the high expectations that I used to in the past. I take things with a grain of salt. If people are meant to be my friends, great. If not, time to move on. My happiness depends on how well I treat myself.
Got any stories to share about the holidays? What were your biggest lessons during 2018? Would love to hear your thoughts 💭
I’m pretty guilty in doing this…don’t hate 😛 and yes, that is my ringtone for my phone.
On another note, this will be the last comic of the year before I go on a holiday / social media break from 12/20/18 through 1/2/19. Happy Holidays, everyone. May you stay safe, warm and udderly cozy. Thank you for following me and supporting my comics journey.
Don’t let the haters get to you. There will be others who will support your journey. Until then, keep on creating. Keep pursuing your passion. I believe in you.
Who else is happy that the weekend is here? What are your plans?
