Why you should leave an introvert alone

It’s not you. It’s me.

Well…that depends on the person and the situation. Still, I’m selective on how I like to spend my time 🙃

Being an introvert is not about purposely pissing off folks just to be left alone. A lot of times, we just want that solitude to recharge our batteries. I’m pretty sure there are other folks that I’ve declined invitations wonder as to why I don’t want to mingle and socialise.

I’m content living at home, doing my activities and tending to my personal businesses.

Betsy, on the other hand…well, she makes sure to have her boundaries in place 🐮

Introverted peeps – let me know in the comments on how you cope with situations like these.

Currency Exchange

While we’re at it, these scam marketers can take my high interest rates on my credit cards if they’re so willing to “promote me” 🙄

Here’s the truth about most artists – we don’t always get paid for our work. At times, we post the content for free as a way to either (a) showcase our talents (b) hoping that someone will support us at our donation/shop pages (c) we post for fun or (d) all of the above. There are a million artists out there who are way better than I am. But we’re all unique in our art styles and our approach on sharing the content.

I draw cows because that’s my thing. I love cows 🐮 I suck at drawing other types of art, but this is my “art voice.” Not many people will be on board with it, and that’s completely fine with me.

Still, it sucks to see so-called “marketers” and other scam folks tricking other people to think that they’ll need to shell out a huge amount of money just to be instantly famous overnight. I believe that everyone’s definition of “fame” is different for everyone.

I’m happy with the amount of followers I have and the comments I receive. Would it be nice to see folks donating a cup of tea if they like my work? Of course, considering my personal and financial circumstances. But I don’t wanna pressure folks into donating if they’re not able to do so. That’s why I highly encourage everyone to like and share my posts if they want to support my content.

Ever had circumstances where others approached you to pay money for instant fame guarantee? Or those social media marketing agencies that use bots? Let me know in the comments below.

Somebody to love

Husband is currently on a business trip so this is my way of teasing him 🤣 in reality, he’s been doing wonderful by FaceTiming me and making sure that he stays safe.

The visual novel addiction is real, y’all. In all of my years playing video games, I’ve developed a fondness for visual novel games. Though I’m still an RPG gamer at heart (still trying to finish up Octopath on the Nintendo Switch), it’s been a therapeutic experience reading and interacting the storylines. My coworker and friend EB introduced me to Nightshade and goodness, it was so beautiful.

I’ve revamped my goals for this year in terms of publishing my comics. So rather than doing one – four panels, I’m hoping to aim between four to six panels. It’ll be updated every Wednesday (just for me to give some time on working with the artwork).

How has your new year treating you so far? Would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

The Road Ahead

Happy New Year, lovelies! I’m back from my vacation. Hope you had a good time over the holidays. I’m a bit rusty on the drawings at the moment but hopefully I’ll be able to get better in terms of the shading and colouring.

2018 has been a tremendous year in learning crucial lessons on relationships, self awareness, understanding boundaries and self care. One of the hardest lessons I’ve learned is understanding that you can outgrow relationships. One day, you can have a network of people in a similar field. Next day, you can switch tracks and people eventually falling off the earth. Relationships go by in seasons. It’s why I do my best in remembering the good moments, even when things went sour. Nothing is perfect.

Having a smaller circle helps me focus in who’s important in my life. I no longer have the high expectations that I used to in the past. I take things with a grain of salt. If people are meant to be my friends, great. If not, time to move on. My happiness depends on how well I treat myself.

Got any stories to share about the holidays? What were your biggest lessons during 2018? Would love to hear your thoughts 💭
